ArtAtlas is an interactive map showing the geographic location of artworks around the world. You can search by artist, city or country and explore museums, churches and cultural sites where the works are displayed.
How many artworks are included?
The database currently includes more than 21,000 artworks across many countries and cities. The project continues to grow as new artworks and locations are added.
Does ArtAtlas only include famous masterpieces?
No. While famous artworks are included, the goal of the project is also to highlight lesser-known works that travelers might otherwise overlook.
Can I use ArtAtlas to plan an art-focused trip?
Yes. By filtering artworks by city or country you can quickly identify museums, churches and cultural sites worth visiting.

Expansion of the dataset with works by Giorgio de Chirico, Henri Matisse, Dosso Dossi, Salvador Dalí and from the Cerruti Collection in Rivoli, Italy.

Pop-up Card Improvements
- Artist name links in artwork pop-up cards are now clickable and link to the corresponding artist page.
- Tapping the thumbnail in a pop-up card now opens the full-resolution image in an enlarged view, without leaving the map.

Fixed thumbnail rendering issues across multiple data sources. Introduced dynamic URL parameters (city, country, artist, search), enabling deep linking and shareable filtered views. Improved map behavior with automatic zoom based on filtered results.
