My Places

Here's a map of all the places around the world that I've made a post about.

Art Finder

ArtFinder is an interactive map (free, from The Introvert Traveler, to you!) showing the location of the masterpieces from the most important artists in the history of art; it's a database that I've made for my personal use; I did a little research and saw there was nothing like that (as far as I could find) on the web, so here it is!

Of course, what you will find is a selection of what I consider the most important (or popular) artists. Leonardo da Vinci? Yep, it's there. Pontormo? Of course. Van Gogh? Mmmm, yes. If you're looking for Martin Maingaud or Marianna Carlevarijs, sorry, you've hit the wrong place.

Cui prodest? Maybe you're planning a trip to Siena and you don't want to miss any of the masterpieces in town. Voilà, just one click, you're welcome! Or maybe you're a big fan of Michelangelo and you want to see ALL is works; did you know that there's a statue in Bruges?

ArtFinder is about: painting, sculpture, a little bit of drawing. Why not architecture? Because.

So far, I believe I have completed maybe the 30% of the great masterpieces: Egon Schiele is still missing, and so Andrea del Verrocchio, Donatello and many others; would you like to see them on ArtFinder? Just send me an excel file with Name of the work, Museum, City and Country and I'll be glad to add them to the database.

What I try to do, when I add an artist, is to include all of his works, but I may make some mistake, so if you find that something is missing or just find something wrong, please send an email; however ArtFinder is meant basically for tourism, so I didn't include any masterpiece that just can't be seen (private collections, stolen paintings and things like that).
